Background

"And they shall beat their swords into plowshears …."
Humanity had won out over its own suicidal trait of warring against itself. Peace had reigned and would reign forever and ever, Amen. That is, until 2996, when the Curslings would arrive. Suddenly, humans would have to study war once more. It didn't take them long to find their way back to weapons and warfare, though it wasn't soon enough to save Triton. But once again, humans had begun making weapons, training soldiers and fighting, though this time against a common enemy instead of amongst themselves.

This is the world that Archer Indigo Ryan was born into. In the fall of 3001, the eldest son of Marshall and Coraline was born in Jupiter's capitol city of Numatropolis. With the war effort in high gear, Marshall had taken on work as an engineer, designing robotic parts and equipment for the war effort. His mother worked in a factory where they built some of the very equipment that her husband designed. With his family so closely involved in the war effort, Archer grew up wanting to fight the Curslings. No one expected his chance would come so soon.

As Archer reached puberty and started his secondary education, it was clear that he was gifted. Sports and other physical activities came much more easily to him than his peers. With all children being given at least a modicum of combat training, Archer shown through, proving himself adept both with the staff as well as remarkable skill with the bow and arrow. With as gifted as he was, there was only slight surprise when, a few months after his 16th birthday, the Society of the Sacred came calling, moving him and his entire family to Salian City, where he would join the ranks of The Chosen to help stave off The Curse and fight for the safety of all mankind.
